Next of Kin – The Kinsman Redeemer

Rev. PTuchyna

John 15:7 – if ye abide in me….

In this passage of scripture God exposed the deepest form of relationship between human beings and Himself.

God is revealing and exposing before the eyes of his church – his bride the most secret things of the closeness, the spiritual foundation, understanding of power, authority and the workings of the Holy Spirit.

As Jesus chose his twelve disciples and as we study their characters, personal dispositions, knowledge, behaviour, expectation, personal ambitions, personal presentation, level of tolerance or lack of it, ability to work as a team, ability to enforce a change upon themselves, we understand on the base of our own humanity and experience, that the task required much more time and effort than just a span of three years.

After spending just three or over three years with Jesus as disciples apostles of Jesus become the most powerful influence on the earth among entire mankind.

Within the time frame of just several years hundreds of thousands of lives were changed as a result of their lifestyle and preaching.

What brought such a significant difference into their lives that caused first such a great and rapid change in their lives and lives of others.

And what was it, that made them live in unity among themselves and God?

What made them so influential that people around them were so desirous to have, to possess, to be influenced by and to become part of?

They lived in the time and generation, which experienced culmination and climax of the fulfilment of the Old Testament prophecies pertaining to the relationship and presence of God with his people in a new way.

In the fullness of time, God who is an Eternal Spirit, who has no beginning nor ending, who is unlimited in his majesty, glory, power and grace – took a form of man upon himself. God become man 1 Tim 3:16 , John 1:1-14 .

According to the law of God in the Old Testament, if a man lost his possession, or his liberty and he was taken into slavery because he could not pay his debt, it was only the Next Kin ( blood lineage) who had right to redeem such an individual.

Nobody else could redeem and to restore original status of such an individual. Ruth – Boaz – Naomi.

Because the man Adam lost his status and liberty he fell into slavery, everything what was born in slavery belonged to the slave master.

God would not brake his own word and his own law.

Because God is a Spirit and man is flesh, thou God created man in his own image, man was a creation and not a kinship (next kin) of God.

God has a love and desire to redeem a man ( mankind) from the spiritual slavery and eternal damnation and sufferings. Therefore God himself must become our next of kin through a bloodline.

But Spirit does not have blood 1 Cor. 15:50 .

Therefore God (the Holy Spirit) prepared himself a body according to his promise. He foreshadowed virgin Mary and she conceived of the Holy Spirit Heb 10:5 .

God is the Father – Mary is the mother of Jesus.

Eternal God, who is a Spirit took the form of man in Jesus and according to the eternal law of God – God became our next of kin through the bloodline and thus He “qualifies” to redeem us from the spiritual slavery of sin.

The Blood of Jesus is the redemption price that was paid for our soul.

When we claim the blood of Jesus, satan has to release us from his possession and slavery.

The judgement was executed upon Jesus for our sins. 2 Cor 5:17-21 .

But God’s redemption didn’t stop there.

He prepared us for a change and relationship, never experienced by the Old Testament people before.

As God took a form of a man upon himself, he gave us a promise, that he will give us, he will fill us, he will immerse us in His own Spirit.

So from that moment on, when a man receives the baptism of the Holy Spirit he is experiencing the transformation from the status of a fleshly being into a spiritual being 1 Cor 15:48-49 ( image of earthly Father v 48-49. ) God Himself lives in us.

According to the eternal law of God, we as free moral agents exercising our own will , we gave God the right to work in us and also on our behalf.

So while we are focusing our attention on God’s will, to know it, to fulfil it, to entertain it, to please Him, we abide in Him.

Nothing else matters in our lives more than to have a close and personal relationship with God. We think like Him, we act like Him, we speak like Him – John 1:12 power to become sons... We share our lifestyle and desire with Jesus. He dwells in us, we become one, John 17 .

To have a close relationship with Jesus gives us boldness and authority in the spiritual realm. We are willing to override our fleshly desires.

God is revealing unto us His will and we have boldness and anointing to declare it.

We declare healing in Jesus’ name. We are binding the evil spirits in Jesus’ name, we pray for wisdom in Jesus’ name ……..

The invitation of Jesus is still open now – come and follow me. Would you answer, would you come !…

The Priesthood

Ex. 19:6 , 1 Peter 2:9

Lord Jesus said to the Pharisees: Search the Scriptures, for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they, which testify of me. John 5:39

Jesus said these words when the New Testament wasn’t written yet. It is in the Old Testament we find the blue print of things in heaven Heb. 9:23-24.

1 Cor. 2: 9 – but as it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things, which God hath prepared for them that love him, but God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit; for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

So since Moses build the tabernacle under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, then to the Tabernacle we must go for the knowledge and understanding of things in heaven.

The first people who were chosen and appointed by God to the service as priests were Aaron and his sons Exodus 28.

  1. Aaron was to be dressed for the service as prescribed Ex. 28:1-39 then

  2. His sons were to be dressed (v 40-43)and appointed for the priesthood ( figure of the NT church – described as royal priesthood).

First was the establishment of the office of the High Priest – Second was the dressing of Aarons sons for the priesthood – after their father had been clothed.

The New Testament is revealing the coming of Jesus (as the High Priest). Those who follow him, took upon themselves His name – Spirit – call Him Saviour, Father.

1 Pt 2:9 – we are a chosen generation – a royal priesthood.

Rev. 5:10 – God revealed that His church was made of kings and priests.

We can see from the plan of the Tabernacle that first is the office of a High Priest then the sons of the High Priest made the priests.

Bible is revealing Jesus Christ as the High Priest – the Father of the New Testament priesthood.

We as mankind ( individuals) become His kinsmen by adopting His name when we are baptised as in the book of Acts 2.

Apostle Paul calls this same Jesus “ the High priest” God manifest in the flesh

1 Tim 3:16 .

Jesus said to Philip (disciple), he that hath seen me hath seen the Father John 14:8-9 .

And in Him, (Jesus) dweleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily Col. 2:9 .

When we look at the New Testament church through the pattern of the Old Testament tabernacle, we can understand why Jesus said to his disciples that

repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations beginning at Jerusalem Luke 24:26 , Luke 24:44-48.

Since God was manifest in the flesh – his people had to be baptised in their Father’s name, which is Jesus.

No one of the followers of the Lord from the day of Pentecost ( establishment of the New Testament church) could be counted in the royal priesthood 1 Pt 2:9, unless their Father was a High Priest.

The sons of Aaron become priests by the virtue of the fact that their father was a High Priest before them.

By the blue print showed to Moses , we can understand our place in God in the New Testament church.

Since Jesus was God manifest in the flesh 1 Tim 3:16 and in Him dwells of the fullness of Godhead bodily, why should we be afraid to confess Him as our Father and be baptised in His name?

Heb 7: 17 – he was the High Priest after the order of Melchisedec, then His sons are also of the same priesthood, but only because their Father is a High Priest.

Therefore apostle Peter answered “ Repent….Acts 2:38.

Peter knew who Jesus was, He was both Lord (Jehovah) Christ ( Saviour).

He did not contradict Matthew 28: 19. He fulfilled it. He told them the name of the Father, which Matthew had not revealed.

So I ( you) can now know, whether I am (you are) one of the priests of Jesus after the order of Melchisedec according to God’s heavenly plan.

Those who never recognised and accepted Jesus as God manifest in the flesh

( 1 John 4:2 ), having never been baptised in the name of the Father, which is Jesus, they cannot claim to be part of the priesthood, because they have to admit that their Father is not a High Priest.

The only manifestation of God that is called the High Priest is Jesus!!!
