Before we start, I would invite you to just lift your hands to heaven and just move them about freely for a moment like this. (Waving about of hands).
Praise GOD!
We as children of GOD have been created to be free. Free in thought, free in will, free to move about and free to worship GOD. Although it must be said that our thoughts and will need to be aligned with the will of GOD. The bible tells us that GOD’s thoughts are above our thoughts and his ways are above our ways.
In the book of Psalms king David is baring his thoughts about wicked people to GOD in a prayer, it says in
Psalms 10:4 (KJV)
4 The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.
Psalms 10:8-9 (KJV)
8 He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor. 9 He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net.
Who are the wicked you may ask, in our day the wicked are those that do not know GOD at all, though they would claim to know GOD in the name of a popular religion. There are those that have no respect for their own lives and neither any respect for others lives. The wicked are those that have been misled by the evil one, who is telling them that the way to heaven is to blow themselves up with explosives and not only themselves but to take as many lives as possible with them. There is absolutely no glory to be had in this act. In fact by doing so they are inviting the wrath and judgment of GOD onto themselves.
I am here to tell you that any kind of human destruction, period, is not GOD’s way and never will be.
The proper use for explosives is for the purpose of aiding the process of extracting minerals from the ground or earth if you will. Explosives were not invented for the purpose of exploding earthen vessels. Now human beings or souls can be likened to earthen vessels and these vessels were described so eloquently by the Apostle Paul in a letter he wrote to the Corinthians and it reads in
2 Cor 4:7 (KJV)
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the Excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
In other words, for those that believe in Jesus and that he was GOD manifested in the flesh and not just a prophet of GOD and have repented and been baptized in water and filled with the Holy Ghost …… the power of GOD’s spirit will shine through these vessels. The way we act toward others, the way we think and what we do will reflect GOD’s will for his children. This can only be attributed to his power working within us. All the glory after all belongs to GOD.
The evil one or Satan is scheming to destroy these earthen vessels by using earthly means. It needs to be said that the evil one can only attempt to destroy the vessel and cannot touch that which occupies the vessel which is of GOD, the soul.
Note: the Soul is not visible and has no physical substance and returns to its maker once the earthen vessel expires or is destroyed.
Why does the evil one have to resort to earthly means? It is because of this fact, in the book of Genesis it says this about the evil one………………….
Gen 3:14 (KJV)
14 And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
This says to me that the evil one has had his freedom taken from him, no longer is free to roam GOD’s realm (the heavens) but is cast down from heaven confined to this planet called earth and has had his arms and feet shackled.
His cohorts, one third of the angels are also confined to this planet. I thank GOD that there exists two good angels for every evil angel. The Evil one is in prison, and all he wants for the children of GOD is to imprison them as well.
Imagine for one moment that you have your hands and feet shackled or handcuffed. How does one end up in shackles you may ask? Well for one thing doing what is contrary to GOD’s will for us.
The other way is by allowing the evil one to persuade you that partaking in any kind of substance abuse, which is taking any kind of narcotic is good for you including smoking cigarettes and the drinking of alcohol. So what is this kind of abuse doing to the earthen vessel, which is our body, mind and soul?
Substance abuse is disabling your mind from being able to make rational decisions and restricting your body from being able to move freely. This is exactly what the evil one wants for you, to put you in a position where you are unable to move freely and think clearly.
Now the apostle Paul in a letter he wrote to the Ephesians is advising us on the defenses a Christian is expected to have to be able to stand against the wiles or trickery of the devil. In Chapter 6 and verse 16 of the book of Ephesians he writes this,
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
The question I have for you today is do you consider yourself to be a hard target or a soft target against these fiery darts that apostle Paul is speaking about?
Even if you find yourself in the position of being a soft target there is help at hand. An ever present help in times of need. There is always one thing you can do and that is to knock on the door of he who is the name above all names, for he says “knock and the door shall be opened unto you!” How much faith do you have in GOD today? Is it enough to be your shield against the wicked?
There are some who are constantly searching for a ticket off this planet. By this I mean a way to escape the impending destruction. Some look to man-made machines in the form of space craft as a way of escape. This is just another lie from the evil one. Man is still unable to produce an artificial environment able to sustain life as comprehensively as the earth that GOD had created for us. The saying “what goes up must come down” has an element of truth in it. But this is not the whole truth.
Jesus was the first of many to go up and is yet to return in his glory and in the New Jerusalem.
The word of GOD says this in
John 14:5-6 (KJV)
5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
This is saying to me that the ticket to an off world experience and eternal life is found in the belief and pursuit of Christ Jesus.
You do not have to believe me today, more over I am advocating that you should believe the only true and infallible word of GOD that is found in none other than the Holy Bible. After all, everything found in GOD’s word is the Gospel truth. Moreover you have GOD’s word on it.
The crux of my message today is a simple one, Jesus wants you and I to be able to move freely in the place he originally created for our physical and spiritual growth and well-being. We are also in this world but are not of this world. Our final destination is yet to come.
By attempting to blow yourself up and taking others with you, you are doing the works of the evil one and absolutely not doing it in the true name of GOD. This is one of many lies of the devil being spread through false doctrine and religion.
On the contrary, God says this in the book of Genesis
Gen 1:27-28 (KJV)
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
To have dominion over every living thing does not mean that GOD instructed us to have dominion over your brothers and sisters, he says to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth. Is there any one that can confess that he has love for his neighbor today?
If you find yourself or I find myself being restricted in some way in GOD’s house today, thankfully there is one solution for you and me.
The solution is to be reconciled with GOD. How do we go about reconciling ourselves with GOD you may ask? We need to crucify our flesh. This does not mean that we should end our own lives and take others with us. To crucify the flesh is to deny oneself and to believe and submit to the truth of Christ’s teachings. In case you don’t know what the bible tells us to do, I shall enlighten you.
Step1 is to repent and be baptized in the name of the Father who sits on his throne in heaven, in the name of the son who himself took on the sins of the world for you and I and was crucified on the cross and in the name of the omnipotent omniscient Holy Ghost who spoke the entire universe into existence by his word alone. It is the only name by which any one can be reconciled to GOD. The name is none other than Jesus the Christ or Jesus, our savior.
The word omnipotent means having unlimited power and the word omniscient means all-knowing or knowing everything. These two words have been used at various times by humans to describe the nature of GOD himself.
The act of Baptism means to have your body fully submerged in water by the elder of the church who then declares the name of Jesus over you as he lifts you out of the water into the newness of life. You then become known to the world as a born again Christian. Also as a consequence of being baptized, your name is entered into the lamb’s book of life of which Saint Peter in heaven is the custodian. The Book of Matthew chapter 16 from verse 13 tells us about how Saint Peter has been given the keys to heaven.
There is a Step 2 and after having been baptized it is to continue in reading and understanding GOD’s word.
The fire in hell is kept burning by those souls who have not known and have rejected Jesus as the Lord of all. Amen.
When you come to Jesus he is able to remove anything that may be restricting your freedom of movement today. Jesus is more than able to remove those chains and set the prisoners free.
When I asked you to lift up your hands earlier I did not see any handcuffs or chains, so what is restricting your freedom of movement to worship GOD today? Thanks for listening and may GOD bless you all.
